Fishing Guides On The Oregon Coast

Fish in net Fishing guides will take you to where the fish are. They will show you how to fish for them and they have been fishing for so long that they know where the big ones are.

We love to fish for sturgeon and the best place for them is at Astoria on the Columbia River and at Tillamook in the bay. I remember the first time I went fishing for sturgeon I was so excited when I hooked one. The only problem is that it was to small to keep. It was only an inch short of the legal size!!

You don't have to have a boat or poles when you hire a guide. The only thing you have to have is a license that you can get for the season or for just a day trip.

We like to get the season license because we also like to fish for salmon and steelhead and there are many places on the Oregon Coast to fish. If you ask me where the best place to fish is, the only thing I can tell you is that it depends on what you want to fish for.

You can fish from Astoria on the North Coast all the way down to Brookings on the South Coast. We have tried them all and I still don't have a favorite place.

There are many rivers and bays that have exceptional fishing all along the coast. If you are not sure where to fish you can always check at the visitor’s center. They will be more than glad to help you out.

Oregon Coast Fishing Guides

If you really want to get the big ones then maybe you should think about a guide service.

We don’t have a boat anymore because it is just easier for us now to go with a guide and then they have to worry about the boat and insurance and all that good stuff and all we have to do is relax and enjoy the trip.
