Visit Rockaway Beach Oregon

Rockaway Beach is located on the Northern Oregon Coast on Highway 101.

This small community is located south of Nehalem Bay and north of Tillamook and has seven miles of beach and windswept dunes for you to explore.

This quaint little community has a population of around 1200 people and is the perfect place to rediscover the art of relaxation.

Just imagine curling up with your favorite book in your comfy beach room or setting on driftwood near the waves.

There are many relaxing pastimes like bird watching, whale watching, storm watching or just sunbathing. There is plenty of beach to comb also. One great pastime is to enjoy a crackling driftwood bonfire on the beach and roast wieners and marshmallows.

There are many things to do on short day trips and you will discover an exciting array of activities. You will find places for wind surfing, scuba diving, water skiing, canoeing, motor boating and kite flying.

Your can also deep sea fishing and jetty fish in some of the nearby towns just a few miles down the road. There are five great rivers nearby for salmon, trout and steelhead fishing plus several lakes with trout and bass.

We always enjoy our time at Rockaway Beach because it just seems so peaceful there. You really feel like you are out of the hustle and bustle of the big cities. You can just relax and enjoy your time there.

There are many motels and vacation rental homes to rent right on the beachfront. Your can also enjoy deliciously prepared, fresh seafood in the local restaurants.

Rockaway Beaches Twin Rocks

Rockaway Beach is the perfect place for a weekend or a vacation get-a-way.

Just one mile south on Highway 101 is Twin Rocks. It was named for 2 large sea stacks that rise more and 100 feet above the Pacific Ocean. It is a stunning sight to behold!
